While this will generally improve the features available versus the stock stereo (depending on what kind of vehicle and radio being used), the sound quality doesn’t usually improve. An aftermarket head unit has roughly the same power output capability that a stock radio does. SOUND DAMPING
One of the best ways to improve the performance of your sound system is with MESA Mat from The Specialists. MESA Mat is premium sound damping mat that we apply to metal to eliminate vibrations and reduce the transmission of noise into the vehicle. When you’re driving down the road, noise from your tires, your exhaust system, the engine and the wind enter the vehicle by vibrating surfaces, which in turn, pass the noise into the interior. Through the addition of a dense butyl damping mat material, the ability of the sound energy to exit those metal panels is reduced. MESA Mat can also be used to seal openings in door panels and the rear cargo deck in vehicles. This helps eliminate sound cancellation caused by the sound energy from the rear of a speaker mixing with the energy from the front. The result is a dramatic improvement in bass and midbass performance.

Every make, model, and year of car is different, so installation of an upgraded sound system can be tricky. Most factory radios today are so much more than the radio. They are the command center for the infotainment system of the vehicle and changing them gets very expensive (if even possible) and you do not get much of a sound improvement. INSTALLATION ACCESSORIES
We stock thousands of Vehicle-specific Car Stereo installation hardware and supplies. Your Car stereo system will only sound as good as the quality of the installation (for which we are famous.
